Peggy Crippen - Kindergarten Prep Writer

Hello, my name is Peggy Crippen. During the day, I am a counselor working with transitioning military service members. After hours, I write. I live in central Kansas with my husband and just turned five-year-old son. We are enjoying his last preschool year and preparing him for kindergarten, as well.

I attended college at Kansas State University and have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. For many years, I worked with families and children doing parent education and social services at a preschool program for low-income families. Recently, I changed careers to be at home more with my family, but working with parents and their preschool children is my passion. By writing, I can share my knowledge and provide parents of preschoolers with some useful information.

At PreschoolRock.com, I am excited to write the section on Kindergarten Preparation. Preparation for kindergarten happens through a preschooler’s daily experiences. Being mindful of your preschooler’s activities provides many daily learning experiences to get them ready for kindergarten.

My wish is to give you some practical tips and activities to ensure your preschooler is well prepared for school. I hope to help parents learn the things that demonstrate kindergarten readiness and give you activities that will build those necessary skills in your preschooler.
